On this page you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the XLNC survey. The questions and answers are intended for managers and all participants providing feedback in the survey.

Login
I have not received an e-mail with an invitation to the survey. What should I do?
Please check your spam folder first. The sender is noreply@xlncleadership.com.
If there is no invitation to the XLNC survey in your spam folder, please contact office@xlnc-leadership.com.
I accidentally deleted/lost the e-mail with my login details. What should I do now?
If you are a manager, we can resend your login details by e-mail.
If you are a feedback provider, we will generate a new login code for you. The original login code cannot be regenerated or traced by us – due to our anonymity measures the system does not contain any information on which code was sent to which e-mail address.
In both cases, please contact us by e-mail at office(at)xlnc-leadership.com.
If you happen to find your old login data after having received a new login code from us, please do not use them as this will result in distorted outcomes.
In case you do not find an invitation to the XLNC survey in your spam folder, please contact office(at)xlnc-leadership.com.
Where can I log in?
Please log in at www.xlnc-leadership.com/en/login with your individual login code which you have received from us by e-mail.
Conducting of the evaluation
How long does the survey take? And do I have to answer all the questionnaires at once?
Completing a questionnaire usually takes about 20 minutes per questionnaire and you can pause the survey at any time.
Your previous entries will not be lost and you will resume from where you originally paused.
In which languages can I conduct the survey?
The surveys are available in German, English, French and Spanish. On the login page, you can select the desired language using the dropdown menu.
I have already completed the survey. Why have I received another e-mail from XLNC?
During the survey, we will send a reminder e-mail to all participants urging them to complete the survey on time. Due to our anonymity measures, we cannot trace who has already participated in the survey. If you have already completed the survey(s), you can simply ignore the e-mail.
The survey is already in progress - can additional team members still be nominated?
If the project has not been closed yet, it is possible to send additional e-mail invitations to team members from the system without any issues.
The questions are phrased in such a way that I can actively manipulate my own results. Is this intentional?
XLNC has consciously not been developed as a testing procedure but as a self-reflection questionnaire. The questions are clear and understandable to minimise misunderstandings and room for interpretation, especially in the feedback from employees.
If a manager wants to influence the results or steer them in a certain direction, then this is indeed possible. However, manipulating the results is counterproductive for personal development and it will create a significant discrepancy between self-perception and external perception, which the leader will then have to communicate to the employees.
For this reason, we do not use the XLNC tools in selection processes but rather in processes that have leadership development as a goal. In similar processes, we have had positive experiences creating transparency regarding the purpose and application of the tool and thus reducing tendencies toward social desirability/falsification.
I am unable to complete the questionnaires within the given time frame. Can the survey be extended?
If for some reason (vacation, illness etc.) you are unable to complete the survey by the given deadline, please contact your manager.
If you are the manager, please talk to the coach. The coach will inform us about the situation.
Before I complete the survey, I would like to get an overview of my answers. Is that possible?
Yes, it is possible to go back to previous questions/answers during the survey.
I have completed all the surveys. Will I receive the result reports automatically?
No, as a manager you will receive a printout of the result reports from your coach or we will send the document to your e-mail address.
Anonymity and data security
Will my manager know how I have evaluated them?
No, the survey results are considered in terms of average values, so no individual responses can be attributed. The manager receives the aggregated results of all participants.
Are my data secure?
The protection of our clients’ sensitive and personal data is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, at XLNC we use a technical infrastructure that meets highest demands of data security/data protection.
The data centre with the XLNC application server is located in Germany and is certified according to ISO 27001. Regular penetration tests and re-audits are conducted to confirm this standard every year. We will be happy to provide you with further information on data protection.
